Permanentemente tendemos a acomodarnos a la realidad como si no quisiéramos tentar al destino y a los acontecimientos que pudieran surgir en nuestras vidas, procurando permanecer en nuestras zonas de confort para no enfrentarnos a nosotros mismos, para no quebrantar supuestas reglas y normas que no afectan en nada a los demás pero que imaginamos debemos cumplir sea como sea.

Constituidos por una enormidad de suposiciones, nos aferramos a la normalidad como si esta fuera la panacea, la señal definitiva que debería guiar nuestro camino por la vida, como si nuestras creencias constituyeran un credo del que no deberíamos apartarnos nunca, sin darnos cuenta ni caer en la certeza de que «la normalidad es un camino pavimentado, cómodo para caminar, pero en el que no crecen las flores».
Caterina Theocharidou (Grecia) crea, con sus imágenes, universos paralelos en los que todo es posible, en donde lo minimalista, el color y la estética se confabulan para apartarnos de nuestra realidad cotidiana y de nuestra confortable normalidad.
Sus mundos son una invitación a convencernos de que podemos huir de la comodidad de nuestras creencias, deshacernos de los prejuicios que encarcelan nuestra manera de pensar y de sentir para adentrarnos en otras realidades acaso más ricas, más ilusionantes, más plenas, y -sobre todo- mucho más cercanas al espíritu libre del alma auténticamente humana.
