Podríamos definir la vida desde múltiples y diferentes disciplinas y tal vez ello nos llevaría a consumir el tiempo de nuestra propia existencia. Así, podríamos hablar de ella desde un punto de vista científico, filosófico, religioso, fisiológico, bioquímico o mental por citar algunos de los posibles enfoques en los que adentrarnos.
En cualquier caso, y con independencia de tales aproximaciones, nuestra vida se consume en medio de grandes incertidumbres e inquietudes. Nos hemos sometido a un sistema de vida que esquilma los recursos del planeta, que extingue a las especies no humanas, que destruye el medio ambiente y que separa a los seres humanos en desigualdades hasta ahora nunca vistas.
Pero nuestra existencia individual no solamente puede entenderse con tales acotamientos, pues no sólo se compone de las experiencias reales que vivimos, sino que también se configura a través de nuestros propios sueños y quimeras, como si acaso quisiéramos evadirnos del tiempo finito que tenemos y de la incertidumbre del momento del fin.

Representar fotográficamente mundos imaginados puede resultar una tarea medianamente compleja, pero representar el mundo de los sueños no resulta sencillo ni fácilmente accesible.
Claudia Fuggetti (1993, Taranto, Italia) durante un período de su vida en el que se vio afectada de insomnio, decidió iniciar un proyecto para representar las imágenes de cada momento de su existencia y aquellas otras que le sobrevenían durante los momentos de sueño que tenía.
Posteriormente ese interés la llevó a interesarse por las redes neuronales, hasta el punto de que acabó creando su propia IA, un programa de visión por computadora con el que crear su propia red neuronal artificial.
La serie Hot Zone (la zona del cerebro en la que se generan los sueños está encima de la nuca y se denomina «zona caliente») se construye a modo de polisemia, de manera que nos propone interesarnos por conceptos e ideas subyacentes y adheridas a la imagen que nos recuerdan las incertidumbres en las que vivimos y que se asocian con nuestro futuro, con el hábitat en el que vivimos, con nuestras emociones, con los riesgos de la tecnología, todo aquello que en estos momentos representa la precariedad de esta época.
Las imágenes presentes en una capa subconsciente se transforman en un viaje visual en el que se conectan visiones, flashbacks y alucinaciones, dando lugar a nuevas dimensiones espacio-temporales y mundos psicodélicos. La relación entre el paisaje y la naturaleza es compleja: los lugares reales han sido alterados mediante intervenciones de pintura digital y parecen venir de planetas extraterrestres, adoptando colores inusuales y convirtiéndose en un espejo de la tensión humana hacia el futuro de la Tierra. “Hot Zone” se convierte en una dimensión real, devolviendo a la vida lo que suele estar destinado a perderse tras cada despertar. La contribución de la inteligencia artificial puede ayudar a superar el límite humano de la memoria. In any case, and regardless of such approaches, our life is consumed in the midst of great uncertainties and concerns. We have submitted ourselves to a system of life that depletes the planet’s resources, that extinguishes non-human species, that destroys the environment and that separates human beings in inequalities never seen before.
But our individual existence cannot only be understood with such limitations, because it is not only composed of the real experiences we live, but it is also configured through our own dreams and chimeras, as if we wanted to evade the finite time we have and the uncertainty of the moment of the end.

Representing imagined worlds photographically may be a moderately complex task, but representing the world of dreams is neither simple nor easily accessible.
Claudia Fuggetti (1993, Taranto, Italy) during a period of her life in which she was affected by insomnia, decided to start a project to represent the images of every moment of her existence and those that came to her during the moments of sleep she had.
Later that interest led her to become interested in neural networks, to the point that she ended up creating her own AI, a computer vision program with which to create her own artificial neural network.
The Hot Zone (the area of the brain where dreams are generated is above the nape of the neck and is called the “hot zone”) is built as a polysemy, in such a way that it proposes us to be interested in concepts and ideas underlying and attached to the image that remind us of the uncertainties in which we live and that are associated with our future, with the habitat in which we live, with our emotions, with the risks of technology, everything that currently represents the precariousness of this time.
“The images present in a subconscious layer are transformed into a visual journey in which visions, flashbacks and hallucinations are connected, giving rise to new spatio-temporal dimensions and psychedelic worlds. The relationship between landscape and nature is complex: real places have been altered through digital painting interventions and seem to come from extraterrestrial planets, adopting unusual colors and becoming a mirror of human tension towards Earth’s future. «Hot Zone» becomes a real dimension, bringing back to life what is usually destined to be lost after every awakening. The contribution of artificial intelligence can help overcome the human limit of memory.
