Para quienes hemos nacido en una isla o a las orillas del mar nuestra relación con él y con el territorio conforman una manera especial de entender el mundo, una forma diferente de relacionarnos con la naturaleza, pues vivimos permanentemente anhelando alcanzar el horizonte del mar o atrapar el horizonte de tierra adentro.
En la actualidad, desafortunadamente, hay mucha gente que no entiende las vicisitudes y los riesgos que supone dar la espalda a la naturaleza pues, lamentablemente, la naturaleza es cada vez más un universo restringido y escaso.
Hace mucho tiempo que el ser humano traspasó las fronteras que establecen los límites sobre los que se funda la conservación del medio ambiente y la naturaleza. Su voraz codicia y su creencia en considerarse un ser superior a todo y a todos los demás seres del planeta, le han llevado a pretender someter a sus propios caprichos las leyes de la naturaleza.
Muy pronto en esta carrera desenfrenada por convertir todo en un dividendo y en un beneficio económico hará que ya no quede territorio ni espacio que no se encuentre sometido a su especulación y a su miserable ambición.
La serie Via de Fuga a Mare de Tina Cosmai (1964, Italia) es una reflexión sobre estas cuestiones, una introspección acerca de la soledad del ser humano y del desamparo en el que vivimos por el desarrollo desenfrenado y no sostenible al que nuestro planeta y nuestro territorio se ve sometido.
Las imágenes que se nos presentan parecen desposeídas de toda vivacidad y color, como exangües de vida y como si representaran el último halo de aliento de una larga agonía. Imágenes que apelan a un sentimiento de meditación que nos conduzca y comprometa a detener esta locura en la que hemos convertido el mundo y nuestra convivencia.
Todo mi lenguaje artístico se refiere al vacío, la soledad del hombre, la ofensa al paisaje y encontrar la belleza. Si algo es hermoso, también es bueno. La belleza es un valor que ofrece la posibilidad de ver más allá de la superficie.- Tina Cosmai.

Human beings have long since crossed the boundaries that establish the limits on which the conservation of the environment and nature is based. His voracious greed and his belief that he is superior to everything and everyone else on the planet have led him to try to subject the laws of nature to his own whims.
Very soon in this unbridled race to turn everything into a dividend and an economic benefit will make that there is no territory or space that is not subject to his speculation and his miserable ambition.
The series “Via de Fuga a Mare” by Tina Cosmai (1964, Italy) is a reflection on these issues, an introspection on the loneliness of the human being and the helplessness in which we live because of the unbridled and unsustainable development to which our planet and our territory are subjected.
The images presented to us seem to be devoid of all vivacity and color, as if drained of life and as if they represented the last breath of a long agony.
